Brunel Energy is working with a major Oil and Gas company based in Lake Charles, LA looking for a Lab Tech II to join their team for a 5-month assignment.

Must have at least 2 years of industry lab experience or 12 hours of college-level chemistry; Must have or be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) card; Must be at least 18 yrs of age; Must have valid driver's license; Must be willing and able to work various shifts, including nights and holidays; Must be willing and able to work overtime; Must be willing and able to work around various chemicals; Must be willing and able to wear FRC and PPE; Must be willing and able to read and comprehend technical procedures in English; Must have basic computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs; Must have intermediate math and analytical skills; Must meet physical requirements of position company protocols and procedures; Troubleshooting technical problems encountered during course of completing tasks; Communicating and consulting with chemists, engineers, operators, lab technicians, and maintenance personnel; Follow all company, site, and laboratory health and safety protocols and procedures
