PER DIEM OFFERED

Pay: $55-60/hr

Schedule: 5x8's until TAR then 7x12's for two weeks (TAR starts 7/1)

Contract: 7 months

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for improving efficiency and minimizing costs by creating high quality maintenance job plans for field maintenance personnel to use. Work order planning efforts will be performed in a detailed and quality manner.

The Planner respectfully and regularly interacts with Supervisors, Leaders, Crafts personnel, Operations, Engineers, Management, Vendors, and Contractors.

Employee must be able to wear all PPE required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes, but not limited or exclusive to the following:
Complies with all site and safety rules, permits, policies, and procedures and helps drive safety excellence within the workplace. Incorporates safety requirements of the task assigned.
Identifies and reports hazards to supervision in an appropriate and timely manner.
Responsible for the initial screening of incoming work orders, identification of scope, and determining the required level of planning.
Conducts field walk downs to identify and document job requirements.
Identifies specific safety hazards that may be encountered during the work execution phase.
Ensures that all aspects of existing safety policies and procedures are incorporated into the job plan.
Identifies the skill sets required to complete the job.
Estimates man hours, costs, and total duration required to perform tasks.
Procures materials, bids, quotes, and specialized tools required to perform work.
Gathers, reads, and interprets a variety of Engineering drawings such as P&ID’s, Piping, Single line, loop, schematics, equipment drawings, and installation/ operations manuals.
Writes clear and concise scope of work and procedures.
Compiles information into a job package that is ready for craftsmen to safely, efficiently, and effectively complete the job.
Makes field measurements and sketches as required.
Possesses and exercises strong troubleshooting skills.
Provides direction to maintenance workers on planned work packages.
Collects and records work history.
Effectively understands and uses SAP Plant Maintenance and other electronic systems to order parts, access drawings, permits, and procedures.
Communicates with originators of work requests on requirements/status.
Coordinates with Supervisors on personnel / logistics / equipment requirements.
Communicates work order information to maintenance and/or I&E personnel as needed.
Completes all required documentation input to electronic maintenance data
Management systems (presently SAP)
Works independently, with little or no supervision.
Keeps the Operations Planner apprised of abnormal or critical situations and seeks advice outside the Planners knowledge or authority.
Works with the Maintenance, Reliability and Project Engineers
