Scope: The project consists of 133 GE 1.5 and 1.6 wind turbines. The repower project will replace certain components (blades, hubs, and select other equipment depending on turbine configuration) on all 133 units.
Job Description:

TransGlobal Energy  is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented QA/QC Technician. As a QA/QC Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest levels of quality throughout the construction process, with a strong focus on health, safety, security, and environmental (HSSE) objectives. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of inspections, documentation, and support activities to guarantee the successful completion of the project.

Responsibilities:

HSSE Support:
Actively support project HSSE objectives and participate in HSSE efforts such as Safe Work Observations, Daily Job Plans, and more as required.

Equipment Inspections:
Perform thorough equipment inspections during delivery and storage periods to ensure compliance with standards.
Tower Walkdowns:

Conduct post-repower tower walkdowns to assess the condition and safety of structures.
Component Recycling:

Monitor and inspect the component recycling process to ensure compliance with project requirements.

Civil Work Inspections:
Perform inspections of civil work, transport, crane walks, line drops, retrofits, etc., to verify adherence to plans and specifications.
SWPPP Inspections:

Execute Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) inspections to maintain compliance.

Comprehensive Inspections:
Inspect all facets of on-site project activities to identify and address quality and safety concerns.
QA/QC Program:

Manage and implement a comprehensive QA/QC approach/program to enhance project quality.
Support IE Visits:

Assist with Independent Engineer (IE) visits and diligence processes as required.
Documentation:

Complete QA/QC documentation and checklists accurately and in a timely manner.
Punch List Management:

Track and manage the punch list process to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.

Milestone Achievement:
Support the Construction Manager (CM) with milestone achievement processes, including Mechanical, Substantial, and Final milestones.

Support PM and CM:
Provide general support to the Project Manager (PM) and Construction Manager (CM) as needed.

Quality Assurance:
Ensure the highest level of quality is maintained throughout the construction process on behalf of the owner.
Qualifications:

Previous experience in QA/QC or a related field is preferred.
Strong commitment to HSSE principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Familiarity with construction processes and project documentation.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using QA/QC tools and software is a plus.
