In search of a dedicated Plant Manager who is willing to put in the necessary time and effort to help keep our plant operating efficiently and as scheduled. This is responsible for directing and leading production operations, labor management, safety, and quality management and supply chain operations for Peachtree. This includes short- and long-range strategic planning, establishing department goals and objectives, creating and meeting KPIs, and developing team members; including leading through others, initiating and completing projects on schedule to serve our customers and ensuring equipment utilization, housekeeping, and optimization.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
-This position will include a broad and ever-changing scope of responsibilities.
-Works for and reports to the President/CEO.
-Manages and leads production management teams at both facilities by utilizing collaborative leadership principles; including mentoring and guiding team members to achieve goals, meet standards, foster engagement and provide a clear sense of direction and focus.
-Manages all production and supply chain related activities within the plant (safety, P & L, product, quality, staff training/development, continuous improvement equipment utilization, KPIs, etc.), either directly or through team members in alignment with the Company strategy.
-Develops strategic plans, manages labor, and implements cost effective systems to control costs at plant level.
-Increases production, asset capability and flexibility while minimizing unnecessary costs and delivering quality results.
-Improves machine downtime and increases efficiency.
-Monitors production and initiates corrective actions as needed.
-Leads plant operations to deliver high quality products, produced in the most efficient manner, shipped on time, within budgeted costs.
-Manages plant technology improvements, collaborates with teams to create proactive training solutions when new machines are installed, or current machinery is updated or automated to create efficiency in operation and performance of equipment.
-Plans, organizes, and leads daily operations in alignment with sales and customer requirements.
-Creates, manages, and leads cross-functional teams to enhance operations and quality, build trusting relationships with peers.
-Collects and analyzes data related to plant operations; reports on data as required.
-Develops and manages strategic plans to reduce waste and overtime.

-Develops systems and processes to track and optimize productivity and standards, metrics, and performance targets to confirm effective return on assets.
-Manages safety programs in collaboration with Safety Manager; Commits to a culture of safety.
-Makes a commitment to ongoing learning in regard to best-in-class production technology, operations, and processes.
-Assists with Food Safety Audits and Food Safety compliance.
-Identify weak points in our equipment and in our automation and assist with developing and implementing solutions to resolve the weak points.
-Must be able to work long hours and overtime as needed.

-Potential challenges include managing a large (and nearly 24/7) operation to deliver consistent results, replacing skilled labor as needed, and driving productivity improvements around output and scrap while reducing recurring defects.
-Supervisory responsibilities; Responsible for the overall leadership, coordination, and evaluation of team members. Carries out responsibilities in accordance with Company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training team members, planning and assigning work, performance management, coaching and mentoring team members and problem resolution.

Education:

-Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Business Administration or Manufacturing strongly preferred or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

-Minium of 5 years' experience working with and on industrial machinery and automation required.
-Minimum of 5 years working as a Plant Manager in a manufacturing industry required.
-Corrugated industry experience is required.

-Strong leadership skills to take on tasks and see them through with minimal management.
-Effective time management and organizational skills.
-Knowledge and understanding of industrial machinery.
-Strong organizational skills and foresight for continuous improvement at the plant level.

Physical Demands of the Essential Functions:
Walking, talking, twisting, reaching, hearing, and vision are required over 95% of the time while pushing and pulling are required about 15% of the time. Feeling is required 75% of the time, and bending is required about 20% of the time. Low levels of lifting (10 pounds or less) are required about 80% of the time, while medium levels of lifting and carrying (20 to 50 pounds) are required less than 10% of the time.
