Sitework Engineer 2 - Job Description
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
Experience: 5-7 years of experience in site work and grading design.
Travel: Required to travel 25% of the time.
Responsibilities:
Provide sitework engineering services and field support.
Prepare designs, calculations, and cost estimates.
Conduct site walk-downs and develop material take-offs.
Maintain a safe work environment while incorporating safety considerations into designs.
Efficiently transition between multiple projects.
Apply technical writing and Office Suite skills daily.
Required Skills & Expertise:
Knowledge of environmental regulations such as ADEM and MDEQ.
Ability to perform earthwork calculations, construction material take-offs, and cost estimates.
Experience in coordinating with teams to produce design documents.
Oversight of permitting requirements (municipal, ALDOT, environmental, etc.).
Extensive knowledge or certification in erosion and sediment control measures.
Ability to perform hydrology calculations, site balancing, and retention pond design.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D for civil sitework design.
Previous sitework construction experience (e.g., grading work).
Strong technical writing skills and Office Suite proficiency.
Ability to build effective relationships with grading construction teams, design engineers, and customers.
