This role is critical in ensuring the integrity, compliance, and readiness of mechanical fixed assets including piping, pressure vessels, and exchangers. Strong potential for ongoing assignments on additional TAs into next year, contingent on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the development and review of piping and pressure vessel repair packages
Participate in TA work scope planning and risk assessments
Provide engineering support during TA execution, including field walkdowns and technical troubleshooting
Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards (e.g., ASME, API), and internal QA/QC requirements
Coordinate with inspectors, planners, and contractors to deliver work scopes safely, on time, and within budget
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
5+ years of experience in mechanical/fixed equipment engineering within refining, petrochemical, or heavy industrial facilities
Strong understanding of API 510/570, ASME codes, and piping/pres. vessel maintenance practices
Experience in TA or outage support roles, preferably within Crude Units or similar high-complexity areas
Excellent communication, field coordination, and documentation skills
