Desired Qualifications The Sitework Engineer 2 position requires 4-7 years of related experience and an accredited bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Job responsibilities include providing sitework engineering design services and field support, preparation of designs and calculations, conducting site walk downs, developing cost estimates and material takeoffs, providing schedule and staffing input for projects, efficiently transitioning between multiple projects, and applying technical writing and Office suite skills daily.
This position requires travel 25% of the time.
Skillsets and expertise required for this position include knowledge of environmental regulations such as erosion control BMPs, GA-EPD, and NPDES, ability to develop scope definitions, schedules, material takeoffs, and cost estimates, ability to
coordinate with others in the production of design documents, extensive knowledge or certification in erosion and sediment control and stormwater drainage and hydrology design, proficient using AutoCAD and Civil 3D for sitework design. Previous experience in Civil sitework construction is a plus.
Candidate must have a working knowledge and understanding of sitework design principals to be able to prepare accurate grading design plan sets, must display good technical writing skills, Office suite proficiency, and the ability to build effective relationships with internal customers (i.e., project management, construction, maintenance, design engineering staff, etc.) and external customers (i.e. architects,
contractors, vendors, etc.).
