** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Engineer to fill a two- year assignment in the Jonesboro, GA area.

This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.

US Citizen required.

Required PPE: hard hat, safety glasses, steel toe shoes, traffic vest
Job site visits, Damage Assessment Driving

Requirements:
0-5 years of related experience
An accredited bachelors degree

Responsibilities:
Apply engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power related systems.
Supports estimate preparation, develops design options, and prepares construction specifications.
Provide guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors as they develop design solutions, cost estimates, and construction packages.
Create a safe work environment by putting safety first
Understand the process used for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance
Understand the functions and activities of various internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance
Understand design practices and work processes while using all software applications used in design
Understand industry and Company design standards
Support design standard and criteria development for the system
Support construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations
Estimate material for projects
Transmit construction packages and supporting specifications

Skillsets and expertise:
Introductory engineering knowledge
Basic problem-solving skills
Limited discretion making independent decisions based on procedure and review with supervisor
Basic discipline software knowledge
Strong work ethic
Positive attitude
The ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors
