NAES Staffing Services is looking for an Operations Technician to work in Aberdeen, SD at a simple cycle plant on a 6 month contract position. This position pays $35/hr plus per diem ($178 daily) and looking for someone to start ASAP. Prior power plant experience is highly preferred. If you have the experience below, please APPLY TODAY!

SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION
The Operations Technician is responsible for procurement, inventory management, and vendor management for the Generating Station. SAP experience required.

DESCRIPTION OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Prepare and administer purchase orders
• Manage expediting of deliveries as required
• Receive deliveries and document for accounting purposes
• Match packing slips, invoices, and purchase orders to prepare for payment approval
• Perform inventory reconciliation to identify restocking needs
• Evaluate inventory levels based on usage information
• Perform inventory spot audits as required
• Administer the Computerized Maintenance Management System in the areas of inventory issuance, work order completion, and restocking
• Serve as point of contact for fleet and facility maintenance issues
• Obtain necessary documentation for on-site vendor work in compliance with company policies to include, but not limited to:
o Insurance documentation, vendor w-9, contract terms and conditions
o Certifications necessary for welding repair work
o Current certifications for crane and rigging inspections
o Assist with the assembly and format of required reporting from the facility
• Other duties as assigned

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

• Must be able to demonstrate a good safety record
• Two years’ experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory management preferred
• Understanding of combustion turbine parts and components preferred
• Duties are performed primarily in an office environment within a power generating plant facility
• Working time will be divided between three Generating Stations
• Ability to work the majority of time sitting, but field work and driving for logistics support to plant personnel is required as needed
• Potential work in high heat/cold atmosphere, ability to climb stairs/ladders
• Assemble all documents, maps, and drawings for multiple sites
• Ability to occasionally lift office materials and inventory up to twenty-five (25) pounds is required.
• Work with hazardous materials may be required
• Proficient with Microsoft Applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience with SAP preferred
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
