** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Engineer to fill a contract assignment in Naperville, IL.

Job Requirements

Working on various job sites and excessive driving up to four (4) hours at a time
Potential for occasional overnight travel (not often)

Education
Must have a bachelors degree in an engineering field from an ABET accredited institution

Rates: $44.00- $48.00 per hour
US Citizen required.

Experience
0-2 years experience in a civil or utilities design background 3. Preferred knowledge of AutoCAD or AutoCAD Civil3D

Candidate Duties
Develops and designs for the department of transportation, pressure improvement, renewals, relocations, and new business.
Develop meter and regulator set designs and sizes over pressure protection.
Collects and evaluates records for use in uprating procedures.
Develops design options and guidance to improve distribution system.
Provide support for field operations and construction operations as needed.
Work Order Design including drafting, investigating land rights, and applying company specifications to create designs per federal codes and standards.
Project Management of design projects tracking multiple items including permitting, approval status and construction status.

Candidate Expectations
Punctual and available.
Engineering works a hybrid schedule, F remote (work from home), and M-Th required in office work.
M-F may require Engineer to travel to project or construction sites.
This position requires driving (excluding commute)

This position requires personal protective equipment, which will be provided with the exception of safety boots/shoes.

This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.
