Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is currently looking for a degreed and experienced Cost Analyst to fill a contract position in Birmingham, AL.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

A Cost Analyst with 5 to 10 years of experience specializing in monitoring, analyzing project cost, and ensuring compliance.
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 5+ years of relevant experience providing cost analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, Access, Word, Power BI)
Multitasking in a fast paced environment.
Ability and willingness to develop strong internal and external client working relationships.
Adaptable and flexible in a changing and evolving environment.
Ability to work on multiple complex projects and tasks and work closely day to day with the project managers and other project controls analysts

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Track and analyze project budgets, actual cost, and financial performance.
Identify cost variances and investigate root causes.
Drive budget preparation and cost projections.
Ensure project cost align with financial goals and constraints.
Collaborate with stakeholders to adjust budgets based on project scope changes.
Prepare financial reports and cost documentation for stakeholders.
Work closely with finance and compliance to meet regulatory standards

This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.
