NAES Staffing Services has immediate needs for experienced power plant Mechanics for a long-term assignment in Fountain, CO working in a coal-fired plant! We are looking for experienced, mechanics to start ASAP and work at least 6 months. The plant is closing in 2029; potential to work until then. Pay rate is $40 and per diem is $209 daily. Prior experience working in a coal plant is preferred; power plant required!

Shift: Dupont schedule working 40+ hours a weekly.

Incumbent is responsible for performing skilled activities in the installation, testing, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair of structural or mechanical equipment at the plant including fired and unfired pressure vessels, turbines, pumps, gearboxes, pulverizes, and piping systems. Daily interface with basic thermodynamics, hydraulics, blue print reading, and rigging are required.

JOB SUMMARY:
� Performs major overhauls and repairs on boilers, heat recovery steam generators, gas turbines,
steam turbines, pumps, air-cooled condenser, and other major equipment.
� Responds to mechanical and welding emergencies.
� Performs inspections and repair on plant systems and equipment.
� Designs, lays-out and fabricates specialty tools, piping systems, and equipment.
� Conducting alignments of multiple coupling /gearbox/ motor / pump combinations.
� Locates, prices, and orders parts and materials.
� Conducts, records, and maintains vibration checks and history of plant equipment.
� Performs maintenance on hazardous chemical systems.
� May perform precision metal machining work utilizing lathes, milling machines, surface grinders
and other machine tools.
