NAES Staffing Services has immediate needs for experienced coal plant Operators for a long-term assignment in Fountain, CO! We are looking for experienced, coal operators to start ASAP and work at least 6 months. The plant is closing in 2029; potential to work until then. Pay rate is $50 and per diem is $209 daily.

Shift: Dupont schedule working 40+ hours a weekly.

JOB SUMMARY
Candidates are responsible for performing skilled activities in the observation, maintenance and adjustment of power plant operating systems and/or equipment. The Plant Systems Operator is the first level of a two-level power plant operations series. The Plant Systems Operator is distinguished from the Control Room Operator which is responsible for monitoring operations on the Plant's computer control system and for troubleshooting control problems and electronic failures.

GENERAL
� Conducts routine operational checks and reads plant equipment and adjusts, regulates,
and maintains oil levels, water levels, temperature, and flows at required specifications.
� Performs preventative maintenance on plant equipment as scheduled.
� Inspects the plant site for security, safety and environmental issues.
� Assists with maintenance during plant outages.
� Performs assigned roles to maintain safety and prevent catastrophic failures.
� Maintains logs and records.
� Monitors computer screens, gauges, and meters.
� Completes all required safety and occupational training.
� Tests fire protection systems for plant equipment and facilities.
� Assists in the starting up and shutting down of generation equipment and entire generating
units; shuts down equipment to prevent catastrophic failure.
� Monitors boiler furnace conditions.
� Pulls tramp iron and bottom ash for safe operation of pulverizer.
� Ensures fly ash system is operating properly.
� Performs water plant chemistry checks and adds chemicals to plant water systems as
necessary.

Experience Requirement
Two to four years of experience in a coal power generating facility or coal process plants.
