Key Responsibilities
Outage & Turnaround Planning
• Lead planning and execution of major outages for turbomachinery and rotating equipment, ensuring scope completeness, resource planning, and schedule optimization.
• Develop detailed work packs, job plans, and maintenance procedures for outage activities.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering, procurement, and contractors to align objectives and ensure safe, efficient outage execution.
• Conduct risk assessments and establish mitigation plans for critical-path work.
• Track outage progress, document findings, and compile post-outage reports with improvement recommendations.
Reliability Engineering
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and failure mode & effects analysis (FMEA) for turbomachinery and critical rotating equipment.
• Monitor key reliability KPIs (MTBF, MTTR, availability, etc.) and implement initiatives to improve equipment performance.
• Develop and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, including vibration analysis, condition monitoring, and performance trend analysis.
• Support engineering design reviews to ensure reliability and maintainability considerations are incorporated.
Spare Parts Demand Analysis & Inventory Optimization
• Analyze spare parts consumption, failure history, and criticality to ensure appropriate stocking levels.
• Work closely with supply chain to optimize inventory, reduce carrying costs, and eliminate obsolete/sporadic items.
• Establish and maintain a Bill of Materials (BOM) for turbomachinery and other critical assets.
• Create kitting strategies for upcoming outages and routine maintenance to improve job efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Ensure accurate spare parts forecasting using reliability models and historical data.
