** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Engineer to fill an eleven-month hybrid assignment in the Naperville, IL area.
This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.

Hybrid Position
Required PPE: Hard hat, Safety Vest, Safety boots and Eye protection
Education and Experience:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering with ABET Accreditation
Preferred:
Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
Engineer in Training (EIT) Certification

Preferred Work Experience:
Prior internship or co-op experience in an engineering field

Specific Skills & Knowledge
Required:
Ability to read and interpret engineering plans - intermediate to advanced proficiency
MS Office - intermediate proficiency
Ability to communicate to all levels of the organization
Introductory engineering knowledge
Basic problem-solving skills
Limited discretion making independent decisions based on procedure and review with supervisor
Basic discipline software knowledge
Strong work ethic

Preferred:
CAD/GIS - basic proficiency
Hydraulic analysis experience
Project Management

Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for applying engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power related systems
Supports estimate preparation, develops design options, and prepares construction specifications.
Provides guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors as they develop design solutions, cost estimates, and construction packages.
Create a safe work environment by putting safety first
Understand the process used for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance
Understanding the functions and activities of various internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance
Knowledge of design practices and work processes
Use of software applications used in design
Support design standard and criteria development for the system
Support construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations
Estimate material for projects
Transmit construction packages and supporting specifications
