VPA is seeking a Sr Plant Production Engineer to provide operations engineering support during commissioning, startup, and plant stabilization to get to steady state in a hydrocarbon processing facility.

Key Experience:
- Demonstrated experience providing operations engineering support during commissioning, startup, shutdown, and turnaround activities in a hydrocarbon processing facility.
- Strong fundamental knowledge of process engineering, process optimization, and BPCS.
- Familiarity with operator training simulators. Experience with process modeling and simulation tools is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with daily process performance monitoring, including tracking KPIs, identifying deviations, and implementing corrective actions.
- Proficient with troubleshooting equipment and process issues.
- Strong working knowledge of ASTM D7566 requirements, including product quality specifications, certification processes, and blending rules for SAF.
- Basic understanding of electrochemistry and familiarity with reverse water-gas shift (RWGS) chemistry and process concepts.
- Experience supervising laboratory operations, specifically FT SPK product and ASTM D7566 jet fuel.
- Knowledge of testing of feedstock, intermediate streams, environmental and regulatory samples, and final products.
- Ensure all analytical work meets site specifications, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.
