Job Description
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is currently looking for a degreed P&C Test Engineer to work in Montgomery, Alabama. This position is ONSITE ONLY. PPE will be provided.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
0 - 3 years of related experience.
Engineers are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing protection and control systems.
These systems are used to monitor protection systems in power substations.
Engineers must have a strong understanding of electrical engineering principles as well as computer skills.

Rates: $55.00 - $62.00 - per hour
US Citizenship required
Per diem is available if you qualify.
They use this knowledge to install, repair, and maintain protection and control systems that may include microprocessor relays, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, pumps, motors, etc.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot protection and control relaying and associated devices
Perform calibration of various types of protection and control relays and devices
Assist in creating and maintaining protection and control documentation
Assist assigned project lead with field assignments Install, program, and maintain protection and control relays and devices
Participate in process hazard analyses
Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and practices
REQUIRES SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent
4 year BS Engineering Degree (Electrical Preferred)
0-3 years experience in Engineering or similar role
Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Working knowledge of PLCs and HMIs Experience with AC and DC system

This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.
