Job Description
** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Engineer to fill a one-year contract assignment in the Moss Point, MS area.
This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.

Rates: $45.00 - $48.00 per hour
Per diem is available if you qualify.
This is an On-Site position
Required PPE: Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Ear Plugs, Steel Toe Shoes, Safety Vest
Required skillsets and expertise:
0-5 years of related experience required and an accredited bachelor's degree
Introductory engineering knowledge
Basic problem-solving skills
Limited discretion making independent decisions based on procedure and review with supervisor
Basic discipline software knowledge
Strong work ethic
Positive attitude
The ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors
Job responsibilities include:
Applying engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power-related systems
Supporting estimate preparation, developing design options, and preparing construction specifications
Providing guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors as they develop design solutions, cost estimates, and construction packages
Creating a safe work environment by putting safety first
Understanding the process used for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance
Understanding the functions and activities of various internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance
Understanding design practices and work processes, using all software applications used in design
Understanding industry and Company design standards
Supporting design standard and criteria development for the system
Supporting construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations
Estimating material for projects
Transmitting construction packages and supporting specifications
