Job Title: Turbine Operator (Microgrid)

Project Type: Power Generation Operations and Maintenance / Microgrid Facility

Duration: 8-10 months

Schedule: 12s, 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off

💰 Compensation & Logistics
Mobilization: $1,100.00 in/out

Per Diem: $115.00/day

🛠️ Technical Execution & Responsibilities
Microgrid Control: Monitor SCADA/HMI to manage "Peak Shaving" or "Zero-Export" requirements; execute transitions between utility-connected and island-mode.

Grid Stability: Maintain precise frequency (isochronous control) and voltage stability; coordinate gas turbines, backup diesel, and BESS.

Turbine Operations: Start, stop, and monitor aeroderivative turbines; track vibration, exhaust spreads, and bearing temperatures.

Thermal Systems: Operate Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) or hot water loops for facility chilling/heating needs.

Maintenance: Conduct hourly rounds; inspect fuel gas compressors and lube oil skids; perform filter changes (air/fuel/oil) and pump swaps.

Chemistry & Sampling: Manage chemical feed rates for cooling towers; take and interpret lube oil and cooling water samples.

High Voltage: Perform high-voltage switching operations to isolate buses or feeders for maintenance.

🛡️ Safety, Quality & Documentation
Environmental Compliance: Monitor Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS) for NOx/CO permit compliance.

Emergency Response: Execute "Black Start" procedures to restore power without external grid assistance.

Diagnostics: Diagnose trips or alarms on VFDs, PLCs, and motor starters; coordinate with I&C technicians.

📋 Requirements
Experience: Deep understanding of aeroderivative turbine systems; experience with "Island-Mode" and "Black Start" operations.
