Project Manager – Combined Cycle Power Plant
System One is seeking an experienced Project Manager to support the construction and execution of a large-scale combined cycle power plant project near Taylor, Texas. This role is expected to begin in April 2026 and continue through project completion in 2028.
The Project Manager will act as the owner’s representative, overseeing project execution and managing a small team of discipline-specific specialists responsible for monitoring the EPC contractor’s performance. This individual will serve as a key liaison between the client, contractors, and engineering teams to ensure the project is delivered safely, on schedule, and within scope.
This role requires prior combined cycle power plant experience and strong leadership overseeing complex industrial construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the owner’s representative overseeing the construction and execution of a combined cycle power generation facility.
Lead and coordinate a team of discipline-specific technical specialists supporting the project.
Provide oversight of EPC contractors, ensuring compliance with project scope, quality standards, and schedule requirements.
Monitor construction progress and address project risks, technical challenges, and schedule impacts.
Coordinate with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and ensure alignment with project design.
Ensure adherence to safety policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.
Provide regular status updates and reporting to the client and project stakeholders.
Support coordination between construction, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.
Maintain strong communication with field teams, contractors, and project leadership.
Qualifications
Significant experience managing power generation projects, preferably combined cycle power plants.
Proven experience overseeing large-scale industrial construction projects.
Experience managing or coordinating multi-discipline teams.
Strong understanding of EPC contractor oversight and owner’s representative responsibilities.
Ability to identify project risks and drive resolution across technical and construction teams.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Compensation & Benefits
Per Diem: $178/day
