Job Title: Solar Specialist (Owner’s Representative / Site Representative)
Location: Cleveland, Mississippi

Per Diem: $178/day

Position Overview
System One is seeking an experienced Solar Specialist (Owner’s Representative / Site Representative) to support the construction of a large-scale utility solar facility near Cleveland, Mississippi. This individual will serve as the client’s on-site representative, providing oversight throughout the full installation and construction lifecycle of the solar project.

The Solar Specialist will act as a key liaison between the owner, EPC contractor, and engineering teams, ensuring construction activities meet project specifications, safety standards, schedule milestones, and quality expectations.

This is a long-term contract opportunity starting ASAP and running through approximately mid-2027.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as the Owner’s Representative on-site, providing daily oversight of solar construction activities.

Monitor the installation of solar arrays, electrical infrastructure, inverters, and balance-of-plant systems to ensure compliance with design specifications.

Act as the primary liaison between the client, EPC contractor, engineering teams, and subcontractors.

Review and report on construction progress, schedule adherence, and quality control.

Ensure all construction activities meet safety standards, project requirements, and regulatory compliance.

Identify and communicate potential issues, risks, or deviations from design to project stakeholders.

Participate in site meetings, inspections, and project coordination activities.

Assist in commissioning readiness and project turnover documentation as construction phases are completed.

Provide field observations and reporting to support project management and engineering teams.

Required Qualifications
Experience supporting utility-scale solar construction projects.

Background working as a Site Representative, Owner’s Rep, Construction Manager, or Solar Field Specialist.

Strong understanding of solar PV systems, balance-of-plant installation, and electrical infrastructure.

Ability to interpret engineering drawings, construction documents, and technical specifications.

Experience coordinating between owners, EPC contractors, and engineering teams.

Strong communication and field coordination skills.

Ability to work full-time onsite in Cleveland, MS.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting large-scale utility solar projects (50MW+).

Knowledge of solar commissioning processes and project closeout.

Background in electrical or renewable energy construction.

Compensation & Benefits
Per Diem: $178/day

Competitive contract compensation (based on experience)
