Job Overview
Job Title: O&M Manager

Project Type: Full Facility Power Plant Operations & Management

Duration: 3 - 6 months

Schedule: 6 x 12s then transition to 6 x 10s

🛠️ Technical Execution & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & P&L: Full oversight of annual O&M and Capital Expenditure (CapEx) budgets; manage monthly spend, variances, and cost-saving initiatives.

Asset Optimization: Drive KPIs including Availability, Equivalent Forced Outage Rate (EFOR), and Heat Rate; develop 5-year and 10-year Long Term Maintenance Plans.

Contract Administration: Ensure compliance with Power Purchase Agreements (PPA) or Tolling Agreements; manage Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA) with OEMs like GE and Siemens.

Operational Steering: Supervise Operations and Maintenance Managers; resolve resource conflicts and provide high-level direction for major outages and capital upgrades.

Labor & Mentorship: Serve as the primary representative for Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) negotiations and grievance resolution; lead succession planning.

🛡️ Safety, Quality & Documentation
Regulatory Signatory: Serve as the legal signatory for Title V Air Permits and water discharge permits; ensure absolute compliance with EPA and state regulations.

Grid Reliability: Maintain documented evidence for NERC Reliability Standards (CIP, PRC, MOD) to mitigate federal fine risks.

Safety Culture: Chair the Safety Committee and review all incident investigations; ensure production goals never supersede safety protocols.

Community Relations: Act as the primary liaison for local fire departments, emergency responders, and municipal leadership.

📋 Requirements
Experience: Proven leadership in power generation; expertise in P&L management, strategic planning, and regulatory oversight.

Certifications: Not Specified (Significant legal and regulatory accountability required).

Tools: P&L Statements, KPI Tracking (Availability/Heat Rate), NERC/FERC Compliance frameworks, LTSAs.
