Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a Tier 1 vendor for the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and we are recruiting an experienced Construction Safety Consultant for an 18-month contract assignment with TVA supporting outage and maintenance planning at the Kinston Fossil Plant in Kingston, TN
Rates: $75.00 - $79.00 per hour
Time and half for overtime.

Responsibilities:
ENSURE TVA HEALTH AND SAFETY PROCEDURES/POLICIES AND PROCESSES ARE PERFORMED.
ENSURE PERSONNEL SUPERVISED ARE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY & HEALTH ADMINISTRATION (OSHA) 10 TRAINED AS A MINIMUM, AND HAVE PROPER TOOLS NEEDED TO PERFORM TO WORK SAFELY AND EFFICIENTLY.
DEVELOPMENT OF TRAINING MATRIX AND CHECKLIST TO COMPLY WITH TVA SAFETY MANUAL.
ENSURE APPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR BASED SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS/PLANS ARE FULLY IMPLEMENTED.
ENSURE COMMUNICATION, QUALITY, COST-EFFECTIVENESS, TIMELY COMPLETION, AND PERFORMANCE OF EACH PROJECT ASSIGNED IS PERFORMED.
Education / Experience:
Looking for project management and outage/maintenance planning as a background.
Bachelor’s degree in industrial safety, safety-related engineering or documented evidence of equivalent education, training & experience preferred.
5 years of experience in occupational health and safety, which includes the protection of facilities and human life, is highly desirable.
CSP Certification is preferred.
Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and scaffolding; work on uneven ground.
Able to bend, stoop, kneel, and work in confined spaces.
Able to work in hot and cold stress environments.
