Education & Experience Requirements
Associate degree in Engineering Technology or Computer-Aided Drafting.
Minimum 7 years of experience in mechanical design within industrial or power generation environments.

Job Summary
The Mechanical Designer is responsible for developing and drafting moderately complex piping designs and construction packages for power generation islands, supporting behind-the-grid infrastructure for datacenter clients. This role involves working under general supervision and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality design documentation.

Key Responsibilities
Interpret and apply project scope, specifications, and design criteria.
Develop piping designs based on:
P&IDs, General Arrangements (GAs), equipment layouts, piping specifications, and inline instrumentation.
Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTOs) and support procurement activities.
Perform field design work to verify existing conditions and coordinate with client personnel.
Assist in the development of construction packages, including:
Installation drawings
Piping Isometrics
Support details
Bill of materials
Support site activities during construction and startup phases.
Identify and communicate scope changes and design updates.
Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure design integration and alignment.

Skills & Competencies
Proficiency in AutoCAD and Plant 3D.
Strong understanding of:
Piping materials and specifications
Pipe support and restraint systems
Manual valve sizing and application
Inline instrumentation and equipment interfaces
Ability to read and interpret vendor drawings and apply themn in the design of construction-ready documents.
Familiarity with EPC workflows and inter-discipline coordination.
Exposure to datacenter infrastructure and behind-the-meter power systems.
Proficient in Microsoft products

Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in virtual, cross-function teams.

Physical Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
Willingness to travel for fieldwork and project support.
