NAES Staffing Services is looking for a Maintenance Manager to work in Johnstown, PA on a 6-month contract position. This position pays $80 - $90/hr plus per diem ($178 daily) and looking for someone to start ASAP. Prior power plant experience is REQUIRED.
This is a combined cycle plant featuring GE 7HA.02 combustion turbines and GE D602 steam turbine system. 40hr work week, dayshift plus call out / OT available.
Summary
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for handling maintenance and repairs on plant facilities and equipment. Ensures that power plant mechanical, electrical, and control and instrument equipment is maintained in a safe, reliable, and efficient operating condition. The Maintenance Manager plans and oversees the repair, maintenance, and improvement of plant mechanical, electrical, and control and instrument equipment. This position evaluates plant maintenance requirements and coordinates related work with other plant departments.
Primary Duties
• Oversee the activities of maintenance personnel in performing maintenance and repair activities in a safe and efficient manner consistent with company policies, procedures and the station maintenance manual and technical specifications.
• Implement the plant's preventive and predictive maintenance program, including equipment failure records, and provide trend information to the Plant Manager.
• Work with the station NERC coordinator to ensure NERC required testing is completed within the procedural timeframes. The NERC coordinator will file these test reports for documentation of the work being completed.
• Coordinate maintenance project activities by scheduling work, monitoring performance, and providing technical expertise and direction to ensure that work is performed in a safe, timely, and productive manner.
• Develop and administer contracts and work scope for external contractors to ensure maximum efficiency in the use of plant and contractor personnel.
• Determine project maintenance requirements by following preventive and predictive maintenance programs and reviewing, evaluating and prioritizing maintenance work requests to establish job steps, estimate man-hours, specify part and equipment needs, and work with Operations to schedule equipment outages.
• Provide maintenance training for the operating shift technicians by presenting instruction on job-related skills and proper equipment repair procedures. Ensure that safety is built into each job assigned and that work is performed in an efficient and safe manner.
• Coordinate maintenance work that interfaces with other project departments to accomplish repairs in a timely and safe manner.
• Prepare and maintain various reports and records that are required to verify the completion of project maintenance work and provide historical information for future maintenance planning.
• Investigate and study new ideas, methods, and technologies related to power plant maintenance.
• Recommend and implement improvements, which will maximize the efficiency of maintenance work and reduce future maintenance requirements. Ensure these new methods are implemented through updating of maintenance procedures and training.
• Provide guidance and assistance to employees in the preparation of maintenance work requests.
• Review Work Orders for completeness and accuracy and ensure that Work Orders are properly entered and closed out in the CMMS System.
