Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is currently looking for an I&C Designer with at least 7 years of experience to fill a contract position in Birmingham, Alabama.

JOB DESCRIPTION
The I&C Designer 3 position requires 7-10 years of related experience.
Job responsibilities include Producing design drawings, preparing layouts and conceptual designs, providing engineering services and field support, conducting preparation of designs and calculations, conducting site walk downs of construction sites
Travel may be required, providing schedule and staffing input for projects, leading projects with oversight

Rates: $58.00 - $62.00 per hour
Per Diem is available if you qualify.
US Citizenship Required.
SKILLSETS and EXPERTISE
Experience in a CAD platform or integrated design tool,
Experience in instrument services and field support,
Experience with pressure, flow and temperature devices,
Experience developing instrument datasheets and installation details
Experience with site walk downs,
Experience working on P&IDs, DCS Wiring and loop sheets
The ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors.
The assignment will primarily be remote with occasional trips to sites and/or the office. The amount of travel will be contingent upon the requirements of the project and are subject to change per project

This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.
