A form carpenter specializes in creating molds for concrete structures, ensuring precision and safety in construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

Constructing Forms: Form carpenters build the molds that hold concrete in place until it hardens. This includes creating forms for walls, columns, beams, and other structural components.

Reading Blueprints: They interpret architectural blueprints and engineering plans to determine the dimensions and specifications for the forms.

Measuring and Cutting Materials: Form carpenters measure, cut, and assemble materials such as wood, metal, or plastic to create the forms.

Ensuring Stability: They ensure that the forms are properly supported and stable to withstand the pressure of wet concrete.

Collaboration: Form carpenters work closely with other construction professionals, including engineers and project managers, to ensure that projects are completed on time and meet safety standards.

Safety Compliance: They adhere to safety regulations and building codes to maintain a safe work environment.

Required:

· 5 years of concrete experience

· Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures

· Ability to understand elevations/grades and establish grade

· Proficient in the operation of hand and power tools

· Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.

· Ability to plan, organize, complete work within set timelines.

· Ability to manage material schedules and orders effectively.

· Ability to perform Anchor Bolt Layout

· Ability to perform construction Layout

Location will be various throughout the United States.

Pay will depend on experience but generally $25-$30/hr. Per diem will be paid @125/day if applicable.
