A civil equipment operator is responsible for operating heavy machinery used in construction projects. Their duties include:
Operating heavy equipment such as bulldozers, excavators, and loaders.
Reading and interpreting site plans and construction drawings.
Coordinating with other crew members to ensure precise movements and operations.
Adhering to safety guidelines and maintaining a safe work environment.
Assisting in the installation of structures or fixtures as directed by site management.
Conducting pre-operational checks on equipment and securing any necessary attachments.
Adjusting mechanisms and controlling equipment using levers, foot pedals, operating switches, and joysticks.
Ability to understand Grade/Elevations.
Candidates typically need a high school diploma or equivalent, along with specific training and certifications. Practical experience through apprenticeships or on-the-job training can also be beneficial. The role requires a disciplined and detail-oriented individual who can manage and control heavy machinery effectively.

Pay will depend on experience. $25-$28/hr with per diem paid @ 125/day if applicable.
