Job Title: Control Room Operator (Coal)

Technical Execution & Responsibilities
Plant Oversight: Manage the continuous monitoring and control of boiler, turbine, and balance of plant systems from a centralized control room.

Load Management: Adjust plant output to meet grid demands while maintaining optimal heat rate and efficiency.

System Coordination: Oversee the operation of coal pulverizers, ash handling systems, and steam cycles.

Combustion Control: Monitor and adjust fuel-to-air ratios to ensure stable combustion and steam parameters.

Operational Maneuvers: Lead the startup, shutdown, and emergency response procedures for high-pressure steam systems and large utility-scale turbines.

Safety, Quality & Documentation
Environmental Compliance: Closely monitor flue gas desulfurization (FGD) and SCR systems to ensure compliance with emissions permits.

Hazard Mitigation: Identify and respond to plant process abnormalities or equipment trips to prevent damage or safety incidents.

Communication: Coordinate activities with floor operators and maintenance crews to ensure safe equipment isolation for repairs.

Log Management: Maintain accurate and detailed shift logs of all operational changes, alarms, and testing.

Requirements
Experience: Extensive experience in control room operations specifically at large coal-fired power generation facilities.
