NAES Staffing Services is looking for Plant Operators to work in Fort Collins, CO. The plant need Operators to work through Dec 31st, 2029 (with home leave). If that commitment is too long, let me know what you would feel comfortable with. An alternative may be 9-month contract with renewal agreements.

They work 12hr, Dupont shifts with available OT.

This plant uses coal, wind, hydro, solar and natural gas to meet the needs of its owner communities and, when available, sold to neighboring utilities in need. The plant is committed to achieving 100% noncarbon energy by 2030.

Per diem is $220 daily. Mob / demob will consist of mileage reimbursement and 8 hours of travel pay. Pay is $55/hr.

Essential duties and responsibilities
• Models the mission, vision, values, and culture of the organization
• Completes detailed, periodic checks on the plant instrumentation and equipment associated with the boiler, steam turbine-generator, air quality control, water treatment, and combustion turbine generator units
• Collaborates with and provides recommendations to shift supervisor and other plant personnel regarding the management of plant equipment and systems
• Maintains and creates daily electronic reports of equipment operational concerns and
communicates those to peers in operations, maintenance, and management
• Interfaces with the plant Distributed Control System (DCS) to operate air quality control and ash handling equipment in compliance with environmental regulations
• General knowledge of DCS as it relates to plant equipment including pump stations, combustion turbines, coal handling and sootblowing
• Identifies and leads troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions and creates work orders in a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).

Preferred education, licenses and work experience
• Five years of experience at a power plant or other industrial facility
• Five years of experience with distributed control systems
