Job Overview
Job Title: Control Room Operator

Project Type: Combined Cycle or Simple Cycle Power Plant Operations

Duration: Approximately 1 year

Schedule: Starts at 40+ hours per week, then transitions into a DuPont rotation

Compensation & Logistics
Per Diem: $135 / 7 days a week

Mobilization: $650 in / $650 out

Technical Execution & Responsibilities
Plant Control & Oversight: Remotely monitor and control gas turbines, steam turbines, heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), and balance of plant systems from a centralized control room.

Generation Optimization: Regulate generator load, voltage, and frequency outputs according to grid demands and contractual requirements.

Operational Maneuvers: Direct and execute complex startup, shutdown, and emergency transient procedures for simple or combined cycle configurations.

System Troubleshooting: Analyze alarms, process trends, and telemetry data to quickly isolate thermal or electrical system abnormalities.

Safety, Quality & Documentation
Permit to Work: Assist with or manage the administrative isolation protocols, including Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) clearances for field maintenance.

Compliance: Ensure all operational moves remain strictly within environmental limits and emission restrictions.

Shift Handover: Maintain detailed operations logs and capture electronic historical data to ensure smooth communication during DuPont shift changes.

Requirements
Experience: Strong background in Combined Cycle or Simple Cycle power plant control room operations.

Technical Specialty: Siemens or Mitsubishi Gas Turbine (GT) experience is highly preferred.

Tools: Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Human-Machine Interface (HMI) consoles, and trend analysis tools.
