Job Title: Remote Electrical Engineering Manager (HV/BESS)
Location: Houston, Texas
Type: 6 month Contract
Contractor Work Model: Remote

Responsibilities

Support HV Substation and BESS projects, providing technical leadership and oversight.
Collaborate with project teams to ensure design, construction, and commissioning meet industry standards and client requirements.
Coordinate with utility companies, developers, and EPC contractors to facilitate project execution.
Ensure compliance with safety, engineering, and regulatory standards throughout project phases.
Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to HV and BESS systems.

Requirements
10+ years of experience in US utility, developer, or EPC work in relevant engineering roles.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BS Electrical).
Strong knowledge of HV Substation design, BESS project requirements, and related electrical systems.
Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
Experience with UL, IEEE, NEC standards is preferred.
