Senior Project Manager

Role summary
The Senior Project Manager is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of large, complex projects from initiation through closeout. This includes planning, directing, coordinating, implementing, executing, controlling, and completing projects to specification on schedule and within budget while maintaining a high level of quality and safe execution.

Key responsibilities
Lead and manage all phases of assigned projects from initiation through completion/closeout
Serve as the single point of contact for the assigned project(s)
Lead Joint Project Teams (JPTs) and provide overall project leadership, including safety leadership
Apply professional project management principles, practices, and techniques to:
Control project schedule, cost, and performance risk
Ensure delivery within defined constraints (time, budget, people/resources, quality, materials)
Manage coordination and execution across multi-functional stakeholders for large, multifaceted projects
Budget responsibility
Manage a single project budget > $25M, or
Manage a portfolio with an aggregate total > $75M across all active assigned projects

Education
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business Management, or another technical field, or equivalent education/training/related experience
Masters degree preferred (not required)

Certifications / licensure
PMP (Project Management Professional) certification through PMI required within 1 year of appointment/assumption of the Senior PM role (exceptions/extensions per SPP-34.018)
Additional professional certification/licensure preferred but not required (e.g., PE, CPA, CFP)
