TTS' Industrial Services Group is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in cleanroom environments and industrial HVAC systems to support a high-profile advanced manufacturing project in the Gulf Coast or Southwest U.S.
This role is ideal for a seasoned mechanical engineer with a strong background in cleanroom design, air handling systems, and contamination-controlled environments. The selected candidate will provide technical leadership, support design and engineering activities, troubleshoot field issues, and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
* Lead and coordinate mechanical engineering activities for complex industrial and advanced manufacturing facilities.
* Develop and review HVAC and cleanroom system designs, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
* Support equipment selection, technical bid evaluations, and procurement activities.
* Perform field investigations, troubleshoot system issues, and provide practical solutions during construction and startup activities.
* Coordinate with other engineering disciplines, construction teams, suppliers, and project stakeholders.
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and designers.
* Support development of engineering standards, procedures, and best practices.
* Ensure designs comply with applicable industry codes, standards, and project requirements.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
* 10+ years of experience with industrial HVAC and cleanroom systems.
* Strong knowledge of:
* Air Handling Units (AHUs)
* Air-Cooled Condensing Units
* Variable Air Volume (VAV) Systems
* Cleanroom Recirculation Systems
* Cleanroom Exhaust Systems
* Experience with contamination-controlled manufacturing environments.
* Ability to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and HVAC issues in field environments.
* Strong understanding of engineering design practices, equipment layouts, and system integration.
Preferred Experience
* Working knowledge of:
* ISO 14644 Cleanroom Standards
* IEST Recommended Practices
* ASHRAE Standards
* SMACNA Standards
* International Mechanical Code (IMC)
* Experience supporting semiconductor, pharmaceutical, advanced manufacturing, or similar highly controlled facilities.
* Previous experience leading technical teams or serving as a discipline lead on major capital projects.
