Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced P&C Tech 1 to fill a one- year contract assignment in the Montgomery, AL area.
This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.

Rates: $35.00 per hour - $38.00 per hour
US Citizenship required.
Per diem is available if you qualify.
Candidate will be required to provide transportation to various reporting locations, minus commute.
Required PPE:
Hard Hat, Safety Glasses, Gloves, Steel/Composite Toe Footwear, FR Clothing, Hearing Protection, Reflective Traffic Vest
Worker must wear EH footwear and 100% cotton clothing at all times while working in substation environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Successful candidates must live within a reasonable commute to the assigned office location
High school diploma or equivalent
Associate's degree in electrical engineering, industrial maintenance, or related field preferred
0-3 years experience in a controls technician or similar role
Familiar with Microsoft Office applications
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
Working knowledge of PLCs and HMIs
Computer skills
Basic AC & DC electrical system understanding and troubleshooting skills
Familiarity with electrical industry / equipment
Good writing and communication skills
Duties & Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot protection and control relaying and associated devices
Perform calibration of various types of protection and control relays and devices
Assist in creating and maintaining protection and control documentation
Assist assigned project lead with field assignments
Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and practices
Install, repair, and maintain protection and control systems that may include microprocessor relays, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), sensors, pumps, motors, etc.
