Education & Experience:
5-7 years of related experience and an accredited bachelors degree.

Job responsibilities:
Applying engineering processes, design criteria, and software applications to design and construct power related systems.
Supporting estimate preparation, developing design options, and preparing construction specifications.
Providing guidance, oversight, and quality assurance reviews for approved contractors as they develop design solutions, cost estimates, and construction packages
Creating a safe work environment by putting safety first
Understanding the process used for planning, design, operation, construction, and maintenance
Understanding the functions and activities of various internal departments involved in design, construction, and maintenance
Understanding design practices and work processes, using all software applications used in design
Understanding industry and Company design standards
Supporting design standard and criteria development for the system
Supporting construction and maintenance teams during day-to-day operations
Estimating material for projects, transmitting construction packages, and supporting specifications.
Skillsets and expertise required for this position include:
Good engineering knowledge
Problem-solving skills
Some discretion making independent decisions based on procedure and review with supervisor Discipline software knowledge
Strong work ethic
Positive attitude
The ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors
