Duration
• 12–24 Month Contract Assignment
• Position expected to be 12–24 months in duration, ideally leading to a Plant Manager role at the end of the contracted Operations Manager assignment (within approximately 1–2 years).

Pay Rate Range:
• Pay Rate: Target $75.00–$90.00/hr (Non-Exempt)
• Hours: 50–60 hours per week
• Per Diem: $150.00/day
• Mob/Demob: $500.00 each way
• Travel Expenses: Reimbursed if required to travel to various sites

Position Details / Scope of Work
The Senior Operations Manager will support the Hamilton Liberty Generating Station. The Operations Manager of the Combined Cycle Plant is responsible for overseeing the safe and reliable operations of multiple units.

This role includes leading the safe and reliable operational performance of the combined cycle site to achieve objectives related to safety, reliability, compliance, and financial performance. The manager is accountable for ensuring that equipment is operated and maintained effectively to support system needs.

This position requires directing plant operations to ensure safety and regulatory compliance while maintaining efficient operation in accordance with technical specifications, policies, and procedures.

Additionally, the role involves managing plant operations personnel and contractors while providing operational expertise. The manager will supervise a team of up to 15 employees and collaborate with various internal and external organizations to achieve plant goals and promote teamwork throughout the site.

The successful candidate will also be expected to develop plant employees by broadening their skills and creating a flexible, diverse, and adaptive workforce.

This position is primarily a day shift assignment but may require evenings and weekends based on plant operational needs.

Manager's Requirements / Desired Skill Sets
The hiring manager is seeking candidates with:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related technical/engineering discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of power plant operations experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Significant combined cycle/gas turbine experience (simple cycle or coal-to-gas conversion experience is also considered relevant).
• Direct experience with:
• Startup and shutdown activities
• Flexible/load-following operations
• Plant outages
• NERC compliance
• OSHA compliance
• Environmental reporting
• Operational leadership
• Experience directing plant operations while maintaining safety, regulatory compliance, and reliable plant performance.
• Experience managing operations personnel and contractors.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external organizations.
• Ability to develop and mentor employees while building a flexible, high-performing workforce.

Physical Requirements
Individual must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time, have good visual acuity and attention to detail, and mobility for site walkdowns, which may include climbing stairs or ladders, entering confined or elevated spaces, and walking/standing on uneven industrial surfaces.
