Mechanical Engineering consultant with Coal Plant Experience La Crosse & Alma WI

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with coal plant experience for a 6 month to 1 yr contract to support performance improvement at a power generation facility in Wisconsin. The selected candidate will work closely with plant personnel to evaluate mechanical systems, perform field walkdowns, troubleshoot equipment issues, and develop engineering recommendations to improve plant performance and reliability.
Desire experience in problem solving on ash systems, especially bottom ash handling equipment. (wet sluice bottom ash systems, seal trough operation, clinker grinders, valve operation)
Must be able to test and document current performance state of bottom ash capacity and seal trough flow rates and operational limits

Desire, Experience in control systems and working alongside control system analysts, especially air/fuel and O2 trim would be beneficial

Ability to document engineering recommendations for repair/replacement of plant systems

Must be a US Citizen and able to pass Background Check, FFD and any training necessary.
