TTS' Industrial Services Group is looking for an experienced Commissioning & Startup Lead to support the transition of a large-scale semiconductor fabrication facility from construction into full manufacturing operations. This is a full-time, onsite field assignment in the Northeastern United States.
Responsibilities
- Lead and sequence multidisciplinary commissioning activities within an assigned FAB, SubFAB, or building area.
- Coordinate interfaces between mechanical, process, electrical, instrumentation and controls, and HVAC systems.
- Drive system readiness, field walkdowns, testing, punch-list closure, turnover, and tool-install readiness.
- Verify installed systems against P&IDs, single-line diagrams, specifications, and design drawings.
- Execute work using approved commissioning procedures, test packages, and checklists.
- Coordinate energization, system isolations, LOTO requirements, permits, SIMOPS, and area access.
- Track area progress, risks, deficiencies, and readiness status.
- Coordinate closely with construction, engineering, vendors, commissioning discipline leads, and facility operations.
- Maintain accurate commissioning records and support the formal turnover of completed systems.
- Escalate design issues, field conflicts, and schedule constraints through the appropriate project channels.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline, or equivalent relevant field experience.
- At least 10 years of commissioning and startup experience within industrial, high-tech manufacturing, semiconductor, or cleanroom facilities.
- Broad commissioning knowledge across mechanical, process, electrical, I&C, and HVAC systems.
- Hands-on experience with field commissioning, testing, system turnover, and deficiency management.
- Ability to interpret P&IDs, single-line diagrams, equipment documentation, and construction drawings.
- Working knowledge of commissioning test packages, checklists, system boundaries, and turnover processes.
- Strong understanding of LOTO, energization permitting, SIMOPS, and safe systems of work.
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple disciplines in a fast-paced field environment.
- Strong communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
