Working Field Construction Manager – Pump & Tank
Full-Time | Field-Based  | $150K–$160K | Direct Hire

About the Opportunity

Our client is a well-established industrial construction company specializing in petroleum and fueling systems. They install, maintain, and repair fuel tanks, fueling systems, and generators, and provide project management and electrical services. They're a busy, tight-knit team that values ownership, freedom, and direct communication — the kind of place where go-getters get noticed and promoted from within.

The Role

This is a working field construction manager position — you'll supervise multiple pump & tank installation projects at once while working alongside your crews in the field. You'll direct installation, removal, and heavy maintenance for a variety of customers, with a scope spanning new installations, remodels, retrofits, tank-top upgrades, and general heavy maintenance. You'll need to understand the entire installation process end to end and how the systems actually work. Expect significant multi-state travel (roughly 60% of the time, generally no overnight stays).

What You'll Do

  • Supervise multiple pump & tank installation projects simultaneously
  • Direct and work alongside crews on installation, removal, and heavy maintenance
  • Manage new installations, remodels, retrofits, tank-top upgrades, and heavy maintenance
  • Own the full installation process — grades, panel installation, piping, and equipment setting
  • Ensure work meets certification and manufacturer standards across multiple states

What You Bring (Must-Haves)

  • 10+ years of pump & tank installation experience — a premier background in the industry
  • Full command of the entire installation process (grades, panel installation, piping, equipment setting)
  • Licensed, or able to be licensed, across multiple Mid-Atlantic states
  • Certifications in fiberglass pipe, fiberglass tanks, and flexible piping, plus all Franklin Fueling and OPW component approvals
  • Strong understanding of how fueling systems work and familiarity with retail fueling clients
  • First-class job and communication skills; a self-starter comfortable traveling across multiple states
