Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Project Manager III with nuclear industry experience to lead and manage complex projects for Southern Company Nuclear. This senior-level role will provide strategic direction, project leadership, stakeholder management, and mentorship to multidisciplinary project teams.

Key Responsibilities
Lead project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
Define and manage project scope, objectives, milestones, and deliverables.
Coordinate with engineering, construction, operations, and other stakeholders.
Develop and implement project risk-management strategies.
Monitor project progress, schedule, budget, risks, and performance.
Maintain accurate project documentation and provide executive-level status reports.
Manage stakeholder expectations and ensure projects align with organizational objectives.
Apply advanced project management methodologies and continuous-improvement practices.
Lead and mentor project teams while promoting project-management best practices.
Identify and resolve project issues, risks, and resource constraints.
Required Qualifications
10–15 years of project management experience, including experience managing complex projects.
Nuclear industry/project experience required.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, or related field.
PMP certification required.
Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and project controls.
Demonstrated experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
Strong executive communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills.
Ability to work effectively in complex and highly regulated project environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting nuclear power generation projects.
Advanced project management certifications or specialized nuclear project experience.
Experience managing projects involving engineering, construction, outages, plant modifications, or capital improvements.
