TTS' Industrial Services Group is looking for an experienced Mechanical Field Engineer to support the installation of GE heavy-duty gas turbine equipment at a project in the South-Central United States.

This assignment is focused on new equipment installation—not maintenance. The selected candidate will inspect foundations and embedments, verify site readiness, and support the setting and installation of major turbine modules.

Responsibilities

• Inspect foundations, anchor systems, embedments, and mechanical interfaces.
• Verify readiness for setting major gas turbine modules.
• Review installation tolerances, drawings, specifications, and procedures.
• Identify deficiencies that could affect equipment installation.
• Coordinate with construction teams, technical representatives, and project leadership.
• Provide field engineering oversight throughout installation activities.
• Document inspections, findings, and corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering or technical field background.
• Extensive experience installing GE heavy-duty gas turbines.
• Demonstrated experience with foundations, embedments, module setting, alignment, and installation readiness.
• Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and OEM installation requirements.
• Previous new-build power-generation project experience strongly preferred.
• Must be comfortable working in an active construction environment.

The initial assignment is expected to last approximately 3–4 weeks, with the possibility of extending into a long-term assignment of up to one year for the right candidate.
