APS is gearing up for a BIG Fall outage season. We are looking for seasoned Steam Turbine Millwrights to join our team.
Locations: Throughout the United States
Duration: Will vary, but projects are kicking off mid-September and should carry through outage season.
Pay: Pay will vary by project, but the typical range is $30 to $35 per hour depending on experience.
Per Diem: Varies by location, but offered on all projects(for those that qualify) and paid 7 days a week.
Travel: Mob/Demob will be paid for each project(for those that qualify).
Essential Job Functions
· Perform disassembly, inspection, installation, overhaul, repair, and reassembly of steam turbines and related rotating equipment.
· Execute precision measurements, alignments, fit-ups, and tolerance checks using industry-standard tools.
· Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, specifications, and maintenance procedures.
· Inspect and service bearings, seals, diaphragms, rotors, valves, couplings, and auxiliary turbine components.
· Support plant outages, shutdowns, turnarounds, and capital improvement projects.
· Follow all customer, quality, and safety requirements while maintaining a clean work area.
· Complete documentation and communicate project status to supervisors and customer representatives.
· Work overtime, travel, weekends, and varying shifts as required by project schedules.
Qualifications
· High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
· Previous Millwright, Turbine Millwright, or Industrial Mechanical experience required.
· Experience working on steam turbines in power generation or industrial environments preferred.
· Knowledge of turbine alignment, precision measurement, and rotating equipment maintenance.
· Ability to read mechanical drawings and follow written procedures.
· Ability to pass applicable site access, screening, and safety requirements.
· Ability to travel to project locations nationwide and work extended schedules when necessary.
· OSHA, NCCER, or related industry certifications are a plus.
