Job Description
** Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is looking for an experienced Project Coordinator 2 (Distribution) to fill a two-year contract assignment in the Calera, AL area.
This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.

Rates: $45.00 - $48.00 per hour
US Citizenship Required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, project management, or a related field.
5 to 10 years of experience in project coordination, preferably within the utility or energy sector.
Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to maintain project-tracking data and analyze, summarize and extract relevant information using pivot tables or other appropriate Excel functions
Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration among project team members.
Analytical and problem-solving abilities to address project-related challenges.
Familiarity with utility distribution systems and relevant industry regulations.
Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and safety.
Proactive and adaptable with the ability to thrive in a dynamic project environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project plans, timelines, and objectives for distribution projects.
Coordination:
Serve as a central point of contact for project teams, coordinating activities and tasks, and ensuring that project milestones are met.
Resource Management:
Allocate and monitor the use of resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure project requirements are fulfilled.
Scheduling:
Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and identify potential delays or issues.
Make adjustments as necessary to keep projects on track.
Documentation:
Maintain detailed project documentation, including records of project activities, decisions, and changes.
Reporting:
Generate regular status reports for project stakeholders, highlighting progress, issues, and risks.
Communication:
Facilitate effective communication among project team members and between teams and stakeholders.
Procurement:
Assist in procurement processes, including sourcing materials, obtaining quotes, and managing vendor relationships.
Health and Safety:
Promote a culture of safety within the project team, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.
Change Management:
Assist in managing project scope changes and ensuring that the appropriate approvals are obtained.
Contribute to project planning, coordination, and resource management, helping to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.
