Job Description

We are seeking a long term onsite Project Controls Specialist (Scheduler) for Alliant Energy for a major three-year generation power plant construction project in Marshalltown, IA.

Primary focus on project scheduling and project controls for a large electric utility. You will act as the owner’s representative for the project schedule, working closely with EPC contractors, subcontractors, and internal teams to validate progress, identify risks, and drive schedule and cost mitigation strategies. Pay Rate: $75-85/hr

Location is Marshalltown, Iowa
Duration about three years.

Skills needed:
• Broad Project Controls experience
• Construction site experience required
• Plant / industrial experience required
• Combustion Turbine generator experience preferred

Scheduling duties
o Familiar with Oracle Primavera P6 software, critical path analysis, float path analysis, look ahead reports preparation and review, schedule mitigation, what if analysis
o Point of contact for site construction management and owner project management team.
o Liaison between Owner, Owner Representative, EPC contractor, subcontractors

Cost Control duties
o Monitoring Change Orders, forecasts, invoicing.
o Interaction with primary Cost Analyst for budget performance, cost measurements, monthly reporting, accruals

Contract Administration
o Point of contact for primary Contract Administrator for contract adherence, potential change order mitigation, contract clarifications

Document Control
o Familiar with Oracle Unifier, Oracle Unifier Mobile
o Management of field generated documents that need to be processed and uploaded into system of record.
o Point of contact for site construction management and owner project management team.
o Liaison between Owner and all contact resources.
