Job Title: Commissioning and Testing Field Lead

Per diem: $143/day

System One is e are seeking a high-caliber Commissioning and Testing Field Lead to join a project approximately 30 minutes South of Valparaiso. This position will be supporting the grid side of substation.

Commissioning and Testing Field Lead is responsible for:
• Lead day-to-day field commissioning and testing execution for the substation/grid-side scope.
• Drive energization readiness, including planning, prerequisites, and coordination of outage/clearance activities.
• Coordinate field activities with engineering, construction, testing technicians, operations, and client stakeholders.
• Review and execute commissioning procedures and test plans for substation equipment and systems.
• Provide leadership for GSU-related interfaces and energization support (as applicable to grid-side scope).
• Ensure adherence to safety, LOTO, clearance/tagging processes, and site work practices.
• Track commissioning progress, resolve field issues, and support punch list/deficiency closure.
• Support documentation and turnover packages, including test reports, redlines, and completion records.

Commissioning and Testing Field Lead Requirements:
• Strong experience leading substation commissioning and testing in the field.
• Demonstrated leadership in energization planning/execution and safe work coordination.
• Hands-on familiarity with commissioning workflows, testing documentation, and turnover processes.
• Ability to lead teams on-site, coordinate multiple disciplines, and maintain schedule urgency.
