Johnson Service Group (JSG) is a nationally recognized professional staffing and recruiting firm that is currently looking for an experienced Controls Specialist to fill a contract position in Ackerman, MS. This is a 4-month contract.

Rates: $37.00 - $40.00 per hour
Per diem is available if you qualify.
US Citizenship required.
This position will be part of the daily instrumentation and controls work group.
Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing instrumentation and computer systems

REQUIREMENTS

The Controls Specialist 1 position requires 0-5 Years experience in a related field.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Supporting and transitioning between multiple projects, checking cables and wiring in the field, performing and assisting in site walk downs, preparing cost estimates, supporting start up, prepare layouts and conceptual designs.
Skillsets and expertise required for this position include proficiency in computer based platforms, solid Electrical knowledge, configuration /graphic skills in one or more platforms: Ovation, Foxboro, ABB, or PLC
Experience with field support
Experience with control narrative and markup
Experience with checking cables and wiring in the field,
Expedience with cost estimating in sub disciplines
Experience developing IO lists
Ability to build effective relationships with plant staff, design engineering staff and/or vendors.

* This position is located at an active coal fired power generation plant.
* JSG will provide all PPE except for steel toe work boots.
* Some driving is required.

This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.
