Southeast Inspections (SEI) is seeking an AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) for an industrial outage project in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

The project is scheduled to begin October 15, 2026 and is expected to last approximately 30 days. Candidates must be available to work an outage schedule of 7 days per week, 12-hour shifts.

Pay: $50.00 per hour
Overtime: $75.00 per hour after 40 hours
Per Diem: $125 per day

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

The CWI will provide on-site welding inspection and quality control support for industrial outage activities.

Responsibilities may include:

• Perform visual inspections of welding activities and completed welds
• Monitor welding for compliance with applicable codes, specifications, drawings, and approved welding procedures
• Verify welder qualifications and applicable WPS requirements
• Perform fit-up and final visual inspections as required
• Complete daily field inspection reports and maintain required QC documentation
• Identify and document nonconforming work when necessary
• Coordinate with construction supervision, welders, fitters, and other project personnel
• Maintain professional communication with the customer and project team
• Assist with quality documentation and turnover packages as required

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Current AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
• Previous industrial construction, power generation, refinery, piping, boiler, manufacturing, or similar field experience
• Ability to work 7 days per week, 12-hour shifts
• Good communication and documentation skills
• Must be dependable and professional
• Must successfully complete the project's required background check and drug screening prior to starting
