Remove or seal off old insulation, following safety procedures
Inspect and report to the supervisor any damaged bulkheads, vents, pipes or any other surface requiring new insulation
Measure and cut insulation for covering surfaces, using compasses, tape measures, handsaws, knives, and scissors
Prepare surfaces for insulation application by painting or attaching required anchors
Ability to pass background check to obtain DBIDs, or any other required government badge
Hiring for 1st, 2nd and 3rd class insulators - minimum of 3 years shipyard experience as an insulator required, experience as a mechanic preferred
