Job Title: Fiberglass Composite Technician

Job Pay: $20-$25/HR and $100 Per Diem

Job Location: Newton, Iowa

Job Type: 6 Month Contract, Temp to Hire, Direct Hire

Description:

Hand laying fiberglass in tight spaces, cutting fiberglass cloth according to size, following the template or plan provided, using cutting machines, scissors or knives.
Prepping the mold and ability to get fiberglass components out of the mold
Apply layers of fiberglass in the mold in a predetermined layer sequence, and press the fabric to adjust the contours in the mold, soften the surface and remove the air pockets and excess resin using a broom, scraper or spatula.
Laminated packaging molded in special material and connect the bagging apparatus to vacuum.
Dispense, manipulate and apply composite resins and adhesives.
Trim, drill, grind, sand and finish the cured parts according to the specifications, using templates, accessories, tools and power tools.
Pre-installation and assembly of cured parts in sets or subassemblies, using templates, accessories, power tools and fasteners, such as rivets and bolts
2+ years of experience in a fiberglass manufacturing facility

Lead Fiberglass Composite Technician responsibilities also include:

Training Fiberglass Composite Production Associates on the process
Ability to lead, train and create efficiencies in the process is a must.
4+ years working with fiberglass composite manufacturing
